Or more precisely, organizational change has to focus on processes and people. Although on this web site our main emphasis is on the People CMM model it would not be complete without touching the people aspects.

Workforce (Management) Maturity improvement has to be approached from 4 perspecives:

From an employee point of view there are the internal (values/ beliefs) and external (skills, performance) perspectives. 

From an organizational point of view we also have an internal (organizational culture) and external (structures and processes) perspectives.

This website will focus on the organizational aspects (the yellow and blue quadrants). However, in oprder to be successful these 4 aspects should be well aligned and therefore we will discuss some approaches to look at workforce maturity from an integral approach.

Organizational culture, or  corporate culture, comprises the attitudes, experiences, beliefs and values of an organization.

Assessment

Maybe the most widely used tool to assess the current and desired organizational culture is the OCI model.
